I have taught at Emory University, Georgia Tech, DePaul and the University of Oklahoma. My book 'Homeless Lives in American Cities: Interrogating Myth and Locating Community' was published by Palgrave Macmillan in the summer of 2014. Currently, I am writing a second book on the the city: 'Beyond the Global City: Rethinking the Urban in a Cosmopolitan Era'. I am the Executive Director of Making It possible to end Homelessness (MIPH) in Central New Jersey. MIPH was the first agency in the country to receive surplus Federal property under the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act.
